Thanks and good luck!
Our target audience includes: researchers, companies, students, and journalists.
1. Look/Feel
We’d prefer a bright site with a clear typography. The graphical requirements are mentioned in B2E_Identity.pdf. We‘ve uploaded a webdesign draft (B2E_design_draft.pdf). Use this draft as a source of inspiration, but this is NOT mandatory.
2. Navigation
We want a clear and easy to use navigation. PLEASE COME UP WITH A BETTER WAY TO STRUCTURE THE NAVIGATION ELEMENTS than in the design draft (the navigation elements should be closer together). The navigation must contain the following links:
Lab
- Mission
- Team
- Network
- Career
Research
- Overview
- Projects (There should be a additional "submenu" here for the different projects (Velix, eMeter, Amphiro). Each project will have it's on page.
- - Velix
- - eMeter
- - Amphiro
- Publications
Companies
- Overview
Contact
- Overview
3. Banner on start page
There should be some large graphic placement to support a rotating file of images including: Picture of the project, title, and a short sentence describing the project. Please refer to the website_draft.pdf or to http://www.opower.com. Please design banners based on the research projects included in B2E_banner.doc. In the end, we would like to have banners for every project.
4. Coding
Keep the design within the bounds of the standard WordPress Theme coding package! Do not include any other custom functionality or plugins other than those which we’ve named. Remember to hand over the chosen design as a layered PSD file.
