We have made the first official documentary on the storied legacy of William Faulkner. See www.williamfaulknerfilm.com - We have obtained all rights for image, story, etc. There are no copyright issues on our end. Faulkner died in 1962.

Key art for the movie poster - The mood is a vibrant conflict - Faulkner wrote "the human heart in conflict with itself" Faulkner described conflict in his work.

The film is called: "Faulkner: The Past Is Never Dead". We want a poster that will put people in the seats. It needs to be vibrantly colored. It needs to have images of the past in the background with Faulkner's illustrated image. Or if you have a better idea - we are open to creativity! The purpose of the black and white images below is to show you what Faulkner looked like. We don't want these black and white photos in the poster, but we do need an illustration of Faulkner's face. The photos are reference materials. I've added some more to help you with ideas. The poster background would need something reflecting the demise of plantations, cotton fields, burning crosses, KKK, etc. I've added some images on this below. I've also included reference materials for a possible poster application. Your work should be original. The mood of the poster is conflict/tension - vibrancy - urgency. For those of you who want to know more about Faulkner's stance on race, I've included a copy of the Time Article on why Faulkner was the voice of the South when the Civil Rights Amendments were enacted in the attachments (it's one of the last ones I posted). Faulkner is an enigma. He supported integration and was outcast by his community for it. I'm very excited about you all joining me on this journey. This film has been in development for 7 years. We have a national broadcast scheduled, but before then we are doing festival runs. Our mission is to start a discussion that can start building a bridge for meaningful conversations on race, civil rights and community. Thanks so much! Best, Anita
