Sub2 is a blog run by Jamie Roche, founder of Boltnet Inc. The Sub2 blog is a way for Boltnet to communicate information related to creating more effective landing pages. The blog design will be very clean and spare. The logo needs to read well at small scale (100px x 100px).
Our readers will be online marketers. They will include men and women, they have an average age of 28, they are very social and very comfortable with the casual, social trends in business.
They are not open to impersonal, corporate design but prefer a more friendly, open style.
We plan to present a logo that looks at once a little retro, and futuristic. Take a look at the attached sketch for guidance.
Sub2 refers to the speed that a landing page should take to fully show up on an end user's screen (less than 2 seconds). The implications of a sub 2 second target is that landing pages need to be simpler, contain less content and rely less on heavy images or media content.
We also know that for landing pages to work well, they need to be targeted. Different audiences will see different versions of a page. Delivering a targeted landing page in less than 2 seconds is even more difficult.

The logo will appear in small form at the top of the page. It can be monochrome like the vostok example or it can have color, 3 dimensionality ...
