Consumer law group representing injured consumers and investors. Web header should reflect we are serious and professional.
For this assignment, we don't need "branding," our main site already has a logo/color scheme/design. This is a second, commercial informational site we use to provide information to our clients and to the public. Hence a clean, professional look is paramount.
Consumers and investors who likely have been conducting searches or doing research because they have been (i) injured by a pharmaceutical, (ii) defrauded because of a defective product, or (iii) suffered investment losses due to stock or investment fraud, of which there is a lot.
Our audience generally is older, professional, reads a lot, and does a lot of research. The target audience generally is not Web 2.0 experts, hence we strive for clarity and simplicity. Hence when people click on "Class Action FAQ," they will be transported to the homepage.
Need a clean, professional header. We prefer the words "Class Action FAQ" appear more towards the left, with the words, "Your source for class action lawsuit information" appear underneath. Good kerning please. So long as it looks clean and professional (not cheap), we are happy with a picture/photo, Illustrator design, combination of the two, something that works for a litigation informational site.
Just keep in mind not to make it too busy yet keep it professional: there already is enough going on underneath the header and it's really going to be built out with information.
Size: tell us what works, larger may be o.k. so long as it's clean.
Color scheme: give us something that works with the site, we're willing to change the background to whatever works with the header you give us. Note: don't make red the dominant color, "in the red" means stock losses, bankruptcy, injury.
What we do NOT want: gavels, scales of justice, blindfolded liberty, eagles zooming about, boring pictures of courthouses or ugly buildings. Please designers, save us from these borefests.
Conclusion: we are working with experienced SEO firms to promote the site and do some backend coding, hence what we need is a good "plug in and go" header and title. We anticipate making additional "landing pages" for the site that may need additional work in the coming months..
