3C Confections creates custom hard candies, chocolates, etc. based on customer specifications and services the non medical consumer as well as Prop 215 patients. We also carry a standard product line available to all of our clients. Our chocolates are preservative free and made from all natural ingredients without any artificial colors, etc. and our hard candies are made with natural flavors and at times include coloring. We have never needed to advertise given our product line quality, however, given recent market competition, we have decided we want to launch an official site to include a logo that is simple, elegant, and represents the care we put into the products we create.
Our target audience includes men and women between the ages of 21 – 60 who obtain our products at local cannabis dispensaries and hold legal Prop 215 cards. We also allow our non medical consumers the ability to submit orders directly from our site, though those products are non medical so we should not identify the medical community in the logo nor do we want to reference cannabis.
All of our candies are all hand made from scratch. Each hand designed so no two items ever look identical (though quality wise they are identical). We are targeting clients who seek simplicity, elegance, and efficacy while knowing they can expect optimum quality. Since most clients find our products visually appealing, we want to ensure the logo design is equally beautiful. Lastly, we personally handle all of our client orders, concerns, custom orders, etc. so it is important the design convey approachability, fun, and friendliness.
We need a logo to represent 3C Confections. We like the Caterpillar from Alice in Wonderland with his hookah and think a redraw of that image as part of the design would be great. Image URL: http://www.ebbemunk.dk/alice/15caterpillar.jpg . We also want to incorporate an angelic figure eating a piece of candy in the design….and we like this image: http://images.gfxartist.com/images/…/46400.jpg. The fairy would replace Alice, the caterpillar's 'mushroom' seat would be replaced with a mound of candy and circles of smoke would surround both figures.
1. No direct references to marijuana or cannabis (pictures or words) 2. It is ok to incorporate the caterpillar's hookah pipe in the logo. 3. We want it elegant looking but simple (nothing too complex, or hard to read) and fun. Sensi Seeds has a great logo and everyone recognizes it and their name is easy to read…it is similar to what I am looking for in terms of elegance and readability of the overall final design. Here is the link: http://forum.sensiseeds.com/style_S…iseeds.jpg
Typeface must easy to read and legible from a web page print. Colors in earth tones (include green). OK to experiment with colors on candy pile.
The files we will require are:
Print file format - .ai (CMYK)
Web file format - .jpg and layered .psd (RGB)
Please do not use any stock images or clip art in the logo
