Propel Louisiana aspires to a day when every young person in Louisiana can be on a path to economic prosperity within six months of graduating high school.
To realize this vision, we offer rapid training programs which combine essential life and workplace skills with industry-specific training to help participants build skills, earn college credit, and begin full-time careers.
So, our most important target audience is young people, aged 16-21, who aren't planning to go to college immediately after high school. Our next most important audiences are employers and training providers. Finally, as a non-profit, the community and philanthropists are important audiences for us, too.
Our brainstorming for the branding led to the following ideas:
1) Youthful, to connect with our target demographic;
2) Practical and action-oriented, to convey the idea of 'propelling' the young person into their career and future;
3) Promise and inspiration, to make young people excited about exploring our pathways;
4) Dignified and serious, to ensure these pathways feel aspirational and compelling, compared to the other options that a young person might be considering.
