We need a logo that will be the starting point of out brand, it will be used on our website (still to be designed) all letterheads and branded company items.
The logo is for The Park Hotel and that is where the focus should be. Montagu Hotels (our group) is the new owner.
The Logo text therefore should be someting along the lines of The Montagu Park Hotel (with focus on Park Hotel)
Or The Park Hotel part of the Montagu group (with focus on The Park Hotel)
Or The Park Hotel by the Montagu group
etc etc something that gets across that this is the park hotel but is now part of/run by Montagu hotels or the Montagu group.
Feel free to either refer to us as Montagu Hotels or the Montagu group, whichever works best in the design
As far as colour is concerned please (see addition 3) but please try to focus on a few main colours that we can use as our new colour palate. The colour #98012E was the colour for the old Park hotel branding which we all quite liked just as an idea but you are completely free to choose your own colours. (see addition 3)
We need to be given the file in a vector format preferably Adobe Photoshop .psd and would prefer a higher resolution in case we need to blow it up for posters but nothing excessive is required.
Addition 1: Please do not think that because we will have other hotels added to the group in future that the words must not be an intrinsic part of the design. We would be looking at different logos for each hotel but with the Montagu tagline, Not just a space for each Hotel name. The logo should be custom to each hotel.
Addition 2: Re-reading the brief I think I may have not given enough information about the Park Hotel. So here it goes:
It is an art-deco hotel on the sea front right next to a blue flag beach (literally across the street) It has 55 bedrooms. bar, restaurant and 4 functions rooms that are internally very modern.
The building is currently under construction so I do not have any real photos but I have a couple of the architects renderings for the final design. They are however completely devoid of colour but I can tell you the hotel will be dark grey (stripes and detail) and white (main body). The images do not include some addition and do include some things we later did not want but they do give the flavour of the hotel.
Addition 3: We like earth colours. Everyone tends to prefer earthier colour schemes like browns, maroons, dark golds etc over colours such as bright blue and green. Sorry for not posting this originally resulting in several great designs in the 'wrong' colours but we only really pinned this point down in a meeting this morning.
