We are two female interior designers who have decided to break into the home staging industry in the Austin, TX area. Home staging describes the process of preparing your home for sale. Could involve: de-cluttering, minor repairs or upgrades, freshening up of the home, renting furniture to strategically place in the home, etc. There is already a good bit of local competition, so we are working to differentiate ourselves. There are three main things that set up apart: our TARGET MARKET our SERVICE and our FORMAL EDUCATION.
TARGET MARKET - high-end homes
SERVICE - Positioning ourselves as the go-to stagers that can eliminate ALL of the headaches associated with selling a home. We offer TOTAL home marketing solutions. Not just improving visual appeal of interior/exterior, but we'll handle photography, host open houses and continuous maintenance while on the market. Most staging companies perform their “staging” activities over the course of one day and then their job is done.
FORMAL EDUCATION - Home staging does not require a formal professional or educational background, nor are the practices monitored by a governing body. Certificates can be obtained after a 2 week training course.
We both have a B.S. in Interior Design from an accredited program where we intensively studied all aspects of design and continue to receive ongoing education.
We are focusing on luxury or high-end homeowners who have such an extremely busy lifestyle, that the last thing they have time to do is prepare their home to sell on the market. This will be the type of clientele that can afford and will appreciate full-scale staging solutions and that we can expect to possibly lead into interior design services.
Please no images of a house in your design. Several staging companies already use that graphic and we are trying to differentiate ourselves.
Use Tagline in design: Premier Staging and Interior Design
Logo will be used for stickers (for folder covers & promotional items) business forms, letterheads, business cards and web site.
Initially we think our signature color will be fuchsia used in combination with black & white. However, don’t feel stuck with those colors. We do seem to like the contrast of a bold color against black & white - it looks both modern and sophisticated.
Nothing "cutesy". Logo 3 is an example of something too cute.
Feel free play with the alpha characters in the name. A bonus if you can relate logo to one of our key messages: 1) Servicing HIGH-END homes, 2) Offering a FULL-SERVICE package, 3) Resulting in INCREASED ROI and 4) from EDUCATED interior designers.
Refer to attachments for visual elements we like.
Logo 1 makes a bold statement with the vivid red against the black and white. The curves in the graphic element are nice and add a level of elegance. The juxtaposition of the simpler font against a more ornate font is also an appeasing element.
Logo 2 also combines a simple font with a more sumptuous font for an appealing mix. The graphic element is a little less exquisite and maybe more modern in nature, yet still has nice curves.
