Energylab is an endurance and extreme sport nutrition company based out of Houston, TX. We are in the infancy period of marketing, however we have developed a great line of products that will be in over 1,000 stores in December and 3,000 by March. Based on our distributors, our expectations are 5,000 stores by end of next year. Our first 3 line up of products are pre-workout, active, and post workout drinks and powders. The next round is capsules and gels, which will hit the market 1st and 2nd quarter of next year. The first 3 products have been manufactured and are waiting for labels and distribution. We have had great feedback from our test markets and are confident that we will be in thousands of stores within the first year. All you designers know, great products fail and bad products succeed all the time, all due to marketing. I want to be a great product that succeeds and I need you on my team.

Our target audience is the endurance and extreme sport markets. Not to exclude highschool and collegiate sports. Our primary interest is triathlons, running, biking, swimming, mtbiking. However we are positioning ourselves to compete directly with gatorade/powerade/powerbar, etc. So we can easily see collegiate sports using our active and recovery product, even at the pro level. My target market is really all over the board. People that take our products need constant energy to help them train or race anywhere from 30 min all the way to a 7 day adventure race. After training, they need the best recovery product on the market for repair. They are looking for something that is bold and protects them in battle, but also shows an educated company that knows their stuff about science and new technology for nutrition.
Also keep in mind, whoever wins the design contest will most likely be hired on to do the remainder of all my work for Energylab. Business cards, marketing material, jersey designs, bottles and label designs, web design input, etc.
