So I just wanted to reiterate what it is that I'm looking for. The number one thing for me is a character logo. Something playful and fun.
As for fonts, I really want to stay away from Times New Roman looking fonts, and keep more with younger, less serious fonts.
Just because I like characters, doesn't mean there isn't room for traditional logos. If you will take a look at my previous business at http://www.thirteenft.com/ you will see a character, a logo, and a font to get an idea of my style. I would like to stay away from that colour. That being said, designs for the logo should be 2 colours max, with a third only for highlights if necessary.
13 Feet is actually very close to what All Things Made is doing, so go through the site if you'd like. If you need further inspiration, we work with laser cutting/etching, CNC plasma cutting and milling, sewing, printing, and silk screening to name a few tools as well as mass factory productions. Those should help conjure up some good imagery.
If there is a way to incorporate those tools into a logo or character or both, that would be great.
