We are a Content Delivery Network - we provide local web caching servers around Europe, US and Asia for the dramatic improvement in the speed of our customers websites.
Our 2 main products are called WebCatalyst and RockSolid DNS. WebCatalyst is a web-cache product (static content gets mirrored across geographically spread out servers for tremendous performance gains to end users).
RockSolid DNS is a distributed DNS service that decreases the name to IP resolve times (http://www.yoursite.com--) by providing DNS servers geographically spread out.
Our website is located at http://www.cyclop.net. It's a temporary job hastily done some time ago - this time we're doing it right and we're starting with the LOGO! However please click thru it if you need additional information regarding us and our services.
We're targeting internet professionals and business executives or IT staff. Our target audience is extremely well versed with internet and its inner workings.
Our logo needs to be clean and powerful - instantly recognizable as technology focused.
We need a logo that is immediately recognizable as technology related without the use of features or graphic elements. We need equal shaped lines in the font used for the word "CYCLOP", sans-serif letters and a modern/futuristic font.
!!! Please note that because the name ends with a P it will be a little difficult to balance the text (especially in CAPS). My suggestion for balancing is having short tails for "Y" and "P" that extend downwards from the main body. The "L" can extend upwards.
Ideally the logo should convey the ideea of SPEED primarily and/or of a network (computer). May also suggest geographically distributed servers somehow. Fiber-optic is also an element that can be included. There may be diverging arrows to suggest the distributed service.
!!! Please don't overuse graphic elements - the focus is not on them use only if you feel it improves the logo.
The colors to be used are dark red and dark blue. Webcodes:
Dark Red 660000
Dark Blue 000066
We'd prefer a vectorial logo but we do not require it.
Thank you very much for reading this brief and we hope to get some pro submissions from you! Good luck!
