This is a professional association that represents women in accounting and finance. The primary mission of the organization is to help the members advance their careers and the overall profession. Members join for opportunities for networking, leadership development and continuing professional education. Once they have attained their career goals, their membership participation evolves into a mentoring role, helping other women succeed as they have.
This logo is part of a rebranding effort. Currently named the American Society of Women Accountants, there are two name changes currently under consideration:
--“Women In Numbers: Advancing Careers in Accounting & Finance” (WIN, or WiN)
--“Women Who Count: Advancing Careers in Accounting & Finance” While the creative vision behind the name is the same, we’re hoping that one might appear more graphically appealing over the other and help fuel the final name selection.
“Women Who Count” has an aspirational connotation for prospective and new members wanting to join this esteemed group of female leaders in the accounting and finance industry. “Women Who Count” is definitive for those who have already achieved status in the industry. “Women In Numbers” does the same, while also paying tribute to this growing population in the industry.
The new logo should reflect a contemporary, up-to-date membership and mission. The new branding needs to attract a younger (20s and 30s) and more diverse group of women – but still be serious enough represent the fields of accounting and finance.
