Just shy of 40, I'm an award-winning entrepreneur with solid, blue-collar roots. Married 15 years (to the same man), I have three children (ages 13, 12 and 6) and my husband is a stay-at-home Dad. The first in my family to graduate from college, I'm a demanding (and recovering) over-achiever. And my parents are particularly proud my resume now includes Georgetown University, Harvard Business School and CPA.
As Founder & CEO of The Judgment Group, I was named to Fortune Magazine's 2009 List of the Ten Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs (http://money.cnn.com/galleries/2009…une/8.html) and earned a spot among nine Female CEOs in Ernst & Young's 2009 Winning Women Program (http://www.ey.com/US/en/Newsroom/Ne…en-program). A serial entrepreneur, I truly believe women's economic independence gives women (and their families) choices they wouldn't otherwise have. Like many who grew up in the 70's, I watched so many women work long hours as stay-at-home moms, head chefs, and housekeepers while they stayed married to men they didn't love simply because they didn't feel they had a choice b/c they didn't have the skills, experience or money to support themselves.
