Global Access in Action
In 2009, the number of chronically hungry people in the world passed the one billion mark – nearly one sixth of humanity. Despite life-changing advances in technology enjoyed by developed countries, significant progress toward food security, clean water, climate change preparedness, literacy, and health among the very poor continues to elude us.
Global Access in Action is an alliance of companies, research institutes, and universities aiming to assist owners of knowledge assets to demonstrate their global responsibility without compromising their global competitiveness. Global Access in Action raises awareness, advocates, and mobilizes resources to ensure that the international technology transfer community is increasingly able to strike the right balance between preserving commercial markets and creating access to technology for the poor.

Our target audience is a hybrid of all the organizations and people engaged in the effort to deliver technologies that make a difference to the poor in developing countries: inventors, international aid agencies, non-profit organizations, private philanthropic foundations, attorneys, governments, upper management professionals in multinational companies, university administrators and many more. We will need our logo to reach a broad audience.
Modern, simple, powerful, professional. Not gimmicky. Needs to be highly polished. This organization is partnering with the United Nations, the World Economic Forum, US Government, major multinational companies. I don’t want the logo to look conservative and stodgy (it does need to be modern), but it needs to be respectable.
This should be TYPEFACE + ICON. No acronyms. Typeface should say (in full): Global Access in Action.
Icon should be non-representative – just a design. Definitely - no globes, worlds, or maps! No photographs.
Color: This has to be respectable, strong, and modern. Very few restrictions on color (no pinks). Be creative! Do not limit yourself to greens! Website will have white background.
We need print and web quality files. jpeg, pdf & psd.
