Keyed Up Piano

Descripción general

This method points out specifics that a beginning or advanced musician must know to play the piano well. It's designed so that people progress at their own motivated pace but without having to take very many lessons. A matrix of specific musical theory and minimum proficiency benchmarks clearly define the parameters of playing well.

The lessons are goal oriented to reaching minimum proficiency quickly. The accellerated theory creates a matrix of encompassing understandings that give one the information to become self-reliant in teaching themselves over a lifetime.

Ages 12 and up.

Total beginners that are motivated to play but have limitations of time and money to spend on learning.

Young rockers that play the guitar and wish they could learn to play the piano in the same self-guided way as they learned to play the guitar.

Baby boomers and retirees with time on their hands for learning an advanced skill quickly.

Piano-lesson quitters who may have taken a couple years of lessons and then quit because they got frustrated with classical music when all they wanted was to learn to play by ear.

Advanced, proficient piano players that are slaves to sight-reading music and totally unable to play by ear. There are a lot of people with fingering skills to play advanced classical music but who cannot play "Happy Birthday To You" without the music in front of them. They are good musicians but they really don't understand the piano or how they missed the boat to playing by ear. They are the survivors yet still victims of standard piano lessons.

Requisitos

This logo will be used to brand "Keyed Up Piano" on the books, DVDs, website and all advertising and printed materials.

We are looking for something modern and a little jazzy and fun, but not too sophisticated (i.e., not Fifth Avenue). It should not be insulting in any way to the piano teaching status quo or industry but ideally will convey a subtle renegade edge.

Conceptual themes might include "here to there," "breaking free," "total freedom," "Time saving," "Defined boundaries," "The big picture," "Eureka," etc. . .

We encourage you to be creative to convey the desired message. Ideally there will be several elements to each graphic that may be incorporated by themselves into the books and materials (classy notes, clefs, etc. . . ). Funky pianos and keyboards are good. We may also be interested in logos that revolve around fun fonts (but they must be very readable).

I will be keeping a close eye on the submissions and will respond quickly with my likes and dislikes. If I don't like something I will let you know immediately. Nothing personal, I hope you will come back and submit another idea.

Winning design must be a in a vector graphic format and not pixelated.
