We are one of the leading manufacturers of exercise books and additional school supplies. Being a family-run business, we are dedicated to inventing new product concepts and significantly improving existing ones.
Our new brand essence and claim therefore is as follows: “the idea finders”
The following 3 (recently defined) brand values make us unique:
[1] down-to-earth (maintaining a family-type company character)
[2] inventive (taking unconventional steps and seeking new approaches)
[3] elaborate (creating products with various additional benefits in high quality
Note: Our family name “Roth” resembles the word “rot” which in English means “red” (our corporate color therefore is red)
Brand Claim: The Idea Finders
Target Audience: Kids and teenagers (age 6-20)
Note: We do not want a typical kid-style logo!
Requirements:
[1] The notation can be “ROTH”, “Roth” or “roth”
[2] The logo should reflect the brand essence (see above)
[3] The logo can strongly or solely consist of letters
[4] The logo should make use of the color red in some way
[5] The logo is oftentimes used with various colourful backgrounds (and thus needs to set itself apart from the surroundings) which therefore occasionally makes a frame around the logo a necessity
[6] Logo types needed: The logo must work …
[6.1] with and without a frame (two versions are needed!) and
[6.2] with and without the brand claim “the idea finders” and
[6.3] colored as well as black-and-white

[2] pencils
[3] parachutes
[4] only balls
[5] Web 2.0 elements (shadow or typical shine)
