We are an established Knowledge Management (KM) and Process Improvement (BPI) company, providing both consulting and software wizards to streamline and activate our client’s business processes.
We recently developed gStepOne (http://www.gstepone.com) a free Google Wizard Writer, designed to activate the information provided by Google search by delivering it as a wizard, in the context of a task. Imagine that for each search we do, rather than simply receiving a list of passive information, we received an interactive, Google-generated wizard, with each step linked to appropriate web information, videos and tools, to provide guidance and know how about doing things.
That’s gStepOne, step one in Google’s transition from world information service to Worldwide Wizard.
How does it work? Simply draw a map of the steps in a task by dragging and dropping shapes onto the page. Link the steps and give each a name. gStepOne Googles the web for supporting “How to” information and training for each step and generates the wizard.
The wizard is then available to guide and support others when they need to do the task.
That’s the product. Now we need a logo.
People looking to transplant their brain/knowledge online.
gstepOne is designed for people who need or want to share their expertise, in business, in clubs, in community organisations, or just for fun. They can create wizards to help deliver a service, sell a house, hire staff, conduct an event, adopt a child, take out insurance, apply for a grant – any task where people need to do things like the expert, without the expert being there.
gstepOne is perfect for businesses, government departments, councils, etc who can use it to convert procedure manuals and handbooks into interactive wizards, either for their own staff or for the public wanting to use their services.
We work with business, government and consumer markets.
gStepOne is elegant, innovative and deceptively simple. As is the gStepOne website.
It is a new kind of product. It merges people’s knowledge with business process maps; it uses each step description to find and link to the web resources the user needs to complete the step; and it generates a wizard for anyone who needs to do the task.
This is a huge jump in functionality currently available anywhere, and we would like a creative, memorable, innovative logo to match.
Currently we have stylised the name and developed a simple favicon (see website). These are the only efforts we have made to design a logo. We want something better.
We don’t mind if you use GSO rather than gStepOne in full.
The logo should also be recognisable in favicon format.
"Don’t just read about it…Do it." is the tag line. Incorporate it if possible.
Only vector formats (layered rgb file in a .png format and a regular .png file, .eps, .pdf or .ai).
