I'm a family and children's photographer in the panhandle of Florida. I've been shooting weddings and portraits for four years, and am now ready to expand to pet photography. I sell my personality to my clients - I'm very personable, very open, love animals and can connect with my subjects as well as fur-parents. I spend a tremendous amount of time with my clients - sessions are an hour, then I sit with them to help them purchase prints - I invest about 3 - 7 hours per client. I am all word of mouth and free buzz-marketing. My website is here: http://www.robinadamsphotography.blogspot.com and a slideshow of my work with animals is here: http://animoto.com/play/n67S1V3XaZ0…scape_link
"Fur" is a completely different identity from Robin Adams Photography - new colors, new blog, new logo, new products. Fur should appeal to the eco crowd. All marketing materials will be on recycled Kraft, natural fiber paper and wherever possible, organic rag cotton. I will promote organic treats during the session, etc.

I will initially market to my existing clients - families in North Florida. I have partnered with a high-end doggy day care business in the area to photograph approximately 30 dogs. I am very colorful and have more of a photojournalistic style than formal portrature. All photos will be natural light and on location in the client's home or in a park. I will photograph dogs, cats, birds, horses and reptiles. I don't use backdrops and don't use still formal posing techiniques. I want to attract clients who are fun, bright, and friendly and love thier animals as children. My focus for client products will be coffee table books and fine art prints with a price point starting at about $450. I want clients that will rave about my work and refer me to friends and in the future use me for family photography.
I'd like my color palette to be natural oatmeal, Kraft, or chocolate browns, turquoise blues, sage greens and a bright poppy orange/ruby red as an accent. Think beach sand, carribean ocean blues, chocolate lab noses. I'd like the word Fur to be the focus with a unique font, no puppy paw prints, no drawings of animals unless its highly stylized. I don't want anything that looks like a vet's signage, it needs to invite curiousity. I'd like a reference to Robin Adams, i.e. "a division of Robin Adams Photography" or "photography by Robin Adams" somewhere in the graphic, but not necessarily in the logo. I've been trying to come up with a tag line of some sort - that would be a great bonus!
