The resulting design(s) should be flexible enough to work for a web site logo and embroidering on a shirt/hat. We will also use for the side of a large automobile (RV) possibly 15-20 feet in length. We want to ensure specific details do not get lost in embroidering for the smaller application but still looks good for the larger application – may or may not be two separate designs. We are also launching a separate but related project later today for long sleeve and short sleeve t-shirt design. We encourage designers to submit for both projects.
Colors should be outdoor themed – possibly forest green and/or brown, but we are open to designer creativity.
The logo should provide an edgy, “hip” theme in fonts, colors, and design since it is targeted towards a younger demographic (early 20’s to 30’s).
Be aware that our second contest for a t-shirt design (mentioned above) will require a design that is appropriate on a black and/or grey background.
Some good suggested examples that may provide insight into what we are looking for are the designs used for Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and/or outdoor apparel. An “old wood” theme for the lettering or even a “splatter” component are some suggestions that might fit as well.
The design must be be unique to create a distinctive brand that will not be confused at all with another logo.
