The non-profit organization Stichting Educatie Technologie makes use of cutting-edge internet technology to help immigrants learn the language and consequently participate in society. We try to increase the accessibility of new forms of learning and in doing so we try to reach those people that would like to develop themselves via these pedagogical methods. An example of a project is the 'Slimme Nieuwslezer' (Smart Newsreader) which members of the Amsterdam Public Library can access for free.
The newsreader makes use of news as teaching material, which is both accessible online and automatically renewed. A revolutionary development, both didactically and technologically. Research has shown that students enjoy reading much more if the subject is fun and topical. This has been the foundational ideology of the newsreader. The newsreader has been developed for people who are non-native speakers of Dutch. Moreover, the software can be used as supplementary assistance within secondary education.

The logo will be used primarily for the foundation's website. The color-schemes of the website will be based on the colors of the logo. Moreover, the website makes use of the BlogNews Wordpress theme, which you can find here: http://www.gabfirethemes.com/blognews-theme/
The website will display both static information concerning the foundation's background as well as up-to-date news regarding the foundation's projects.
The target audience will consist of govermental and educational institutions, libraries, and publishers. The language-learners themselves are not part of the target audience.
The logo should express the company's identity to these parties.
'Stichting' is the Dutch translation of foundation. It should be noted that within 'Stichting Educatie Technologie' the word stichting is less important than Educatie and Technologie.
It is also important that the logo represents the company's engagement with technologically innovative products and projects.
Moreover, the users are adults or people within secondary education, the logo should not be playful or childish.
In general, we would like to give the designer a fairly clean slate, in order to let their own imagination run free.
