I run a one-man independent software vendor.
My current project is ThoughtMuse, an online web application for creating, editing and sharing mindmaps. Kinda like Google Docs for mindmapping. :) Target launch for v1.0 is this summer.
ThoughMuse enables users to create and store mindmaps online. That's the core featureset of the product. The actual benefit to the customer, however, is that the tool enables him or her to do two things:
A) organize and structure information
B) brainstorm, "throw ideas at the wall" in a structured way.
These two core benefits/values are suggested by the two terms 'Thought' and 'Muse' (=inspiration aid), as well as the product slogan: "Organized Thought. Aimed Inspiration". I'd love for the logo to convey these two concepts.
Also, I'm not a big faceless corporation like some of my competitors - I try to differentiate myself by actually being upfront about this. :) Think "professional, but with a human face". So a human touch should be present in the logo - I'm especially not going for a cold corporate look.
I will provide active and frequent feedback in the comments section here.
