YoGoGo
We are a husband and wife team in an early stage NYC startup. In our former lives, we worked with dozens of major brands on interactive software projects, including one Emmy award winning community project. However, we left all of that behind to create our own company, where we build our own software and work on getting our butts into shape.
Our goal is to motivate people to work out regularly, through game mechanics and social support.
Players enter their workouts and earn points based on the duration and intensity of the workout. Points allow the players to compete against their friends on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Players are notified when their friends enter new workouts and can comment on each other’s workouts to motivate and support one another.
We have been playing a rudimentary version of this game with friends, off and on, for years and it works. Since rejoining the game two months ago, our two person team has lost a combined 40 pounds. Now we want to make the game accessible to other people who need an extra push to get off the couch.
Our target market is Internet using adults comfortable with sites like Facebook, Flickr and Twitter, who want to be more active. YoGoGo rewards people for any type of physical activity, from yardwork to jogging to lifting weights or playing sports.
We are looking for a modern, simple logo with clean lines. The logo must scale well as to be suitable for a web page or an iPhone app icon (45x45px).
We are open to illustration and imagery that suggest fitness, but it should imply a broad range of activities. There are plenty of applications out there that target niche sports and activities, so we don’t want a logo that specifically implies one activity like running.
The design should appeal to both men and women.
The logo may include the name “YoGoGo”, but it’s not required.
Iconic illustrations are not required but encouraged.
We prefer a flat look, not 3D or glossy.
The deliverable should be in a vector format (.eps or .ai).
Update 1: The word YoGoGo in the logo design should have a highly legible font. It is important that the brand name is easy to read.
Update 2: We have been getting a lot of submissions in the red, orange, green blue interlocking pieces forming a shape. We have seen some great examples of that style but at this point are looking for a greater variety of logo styles.
