Descripción general

ParanormalTV is a global media brand focused on the reality beyond the range of normal experience. The human side of wonderfully strange stories fuels Paranormal TV. Our breadth of factual content runs from ghosts and witchcraft to aliens and UFOs to Atlantis and reincarnation.

We are the leading paranormal social video programmer in the world after one-year. We are not science fiction, horror, or a things that go bump in the night site. We are serious, inquisitive and engaged with our material and audience. These last two sentences are very important to our identity.

Our tag line is "The ultimate reality channel."

Our programming consists of a mix of series from television, made-for-television documentaries, independently produced films and extensive library footage. In addition to long-form entertainment, ParanormalTV created a library of 210 original short-form stories derived from existing footage of 4-6-minutes in length. This unique collection of video is available in various Web, VOD and mobile formats for IP-based audience networks and traditional broadcasters. (None-the-less, we remain a one-person operation.)

Basic research tells us the paranormal appeals to both genders equally, the higher the level of education the greater the interest and the primary age categories are 18-24, 35-44, and 45-54.

The demographics we have from YouTube record a 60/40 male/female audience led by the age ranges 35-44 and 45-54. Nearly equal are age ranges 18-24, 25-35, and 55-64. The attributes of the age groups are cynical, educated, open-minded, thought-provoking and seeking engagement.

Research also tells us our initial audience is English-speaking: U.S., Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand.

The YouTube data reveal that our most popular countries are the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, and Germany. Joost data tells us that we were in the top 10 most popular channels in the U.S., top 4 in the U.K. and top 2 in the rest of the world.

On YouTube our % of engagement – the folks that leave a comment or rate a video - is 17%. We are told this is exceptional. On Hulu 37% of viewers watch the entire video and we are told this is also exceptional. Thus, we have a high degree of engagement with our audience.

Requisitos

ParanormalTV needs a logo and color palette that will work across media. Our particular focus at present is its' use as the cornerstone of our Web presence, migrating it later to other media.

It can, but it is not required, incorporate our tag line "The ultimate reality channel."

Here are a few things to think about:

1. It can not have the look and feel of horror or science fiction.
2. A minimalist sophisticated design, yet not over the top.
3. Our audience is serious about their interest in the paranormal, but they are not stuffy - this is fun.

I've looked for an example of a logo in the genre of a logo that is good - but I can not find one. Be the first!
