Fort 1E Farm
We are a little farm and our goal is to be as “natural” as possible. This means that the farm supports itself with the products created from it.
Ultimately, we envision the farm producing several types of products and lines of business; however, our current line of products includes goatmilk-based beauty soaps, and mohair.
Our main product line at this time is Goat Milk-Based Soaps. These soaps are named after the goat from which they come: Penny, an Alpine dairy goat. The brand name of the soaps is “Penny’s Pure Soap”. The niche for our soaps are the beauty benefits they provide - goat milk and fermented goat milk have fabulous beauty properties that many commercial products lack all in one place - and their purity - all soaps have 5 ingredients or less.
Mohair is the hair of the angora goat. The hair is very fine and appropriate for clothing the first couple of times you clip them. After that, the hair gets coarser and is great for more heavy duty items, such as rugs, coats, or hammocks. Mohair is a fabulous fiber because it resists dirt and is virtually impenetrable to mold/mildew. At this time, we’re selling the mohair either raw (unwashed, fresh from the goat), processed (still in its “fresh from the goat” form, but cleaned and ready for spinning), or spun. In the future, we plan to sell some of the “finished product” items mentioned above that mohair is good for.
We need the farm logo to represent more of a “natural,” “pure,” “high-end” product. Something created on the farm, but good enough and rare enough to appeal to a more affluent buyer.
We plan to distribute the mohair products via our internet store. We anticipate that most of the customers for the raw, processed and spun mohair to be older women who spin or make their own mohair items. We anticipate the buyers of end mohair products to be anyone interested in a durable high quality item, but most likely will be women from 30-60.
One primary markets for our soaps is all-natural/chemical free health and beauty seekers. This would include many types of folks: men and women, old and young, those with cancer, those with sensitive skin, those who are using fertility treatments, cannot have scents, or any chemicals enter their bodies, whether through their skin or via what they eat and drink. It’s hard to find a truly “pure” soap these days, though many commercial soaps will claim it.
Our other primary market for the soaps are those “into” the latest beauty product, the next big thing that offers lots of beauty benefits. Most goat milk soap providers focus on different scents, and leave the beauty benefits aside.
We plan to distribute soaps to these markets via spas, “skincare” salons, natural foods stores, artisan-type gift shops, and the internet.
The farm logo will appear on our internet store (www.fort1efarm.com - we are still working on building the site; the farm logo is a critical component of that), brochures, business cards, signage, and any/all correspondence and marketing materials.
We would like the farm logo to be one that can be easily tweaked for the goat milk soap packaging and mohair packaging.
If you take a look at the attached farm pictures , we can’t get enough of the “everyday” beauty that exists all around us in this open space. The feeling that you get from taking care of and being amongst these animals and sharing in their natural gifts, working the land and producing something, and just observing life take place without any interference or additives from us is what we love and want to share/convey about Fort 1E Farm.
We'd like to see earthy colors and an interesting font.
An overall “Farm” logo is what we’re looking for, but the branding would be consistent across all product logos, as well. Our main concern is that connectivity and crisp, consistent, crystal clear feeling you get from our logo, regardless of the particular product and its logo variation on the theme.
The files we will require are:
Print file format - .ai (CMYK)
Web file format - .jpg and layered .psd (RGB)
Please do not use any stock images, clip art or cartoons in the logo.
