What is GreenSoul Shoes?
GreenSoul Shoes’ mission is to shoe underprivileged children around the world in an eco-beneficial fashion. We aim to shoe one million shoeless children in five years.
We are a social enterprise that provides a global marketplace for global shoemakers and artisans and for every pair of shoes or eco-friendly product sold, we also give away a pair to a barefoot child in the same community. http://www.greensoulshoes.org
Why GreenSoul Shoes?
“The shoes are a symbol of something greater. It’s a message about hope.” -Ron Hunter
More than 300 million impoverished children go without shoes every day. That is more than every man, woman, boy, and girl living in the United States. Yet, those 300 million children, with no shoes to protect their feet from injury and disease, depend on shoes as their primary mode of transportation. The need is great.
GSS is a social profit shoe company that sells 100% recycled, rubber tire sandals, and for every sandal sold, one will be donated to an underprivileged child in need.
Shoes bring self-esteem and eliminate this first stigma of poverty; it gives access to other resources--in many places for example, children without shoes are not allowed to go to school, creating a circular problem of poverty and lack of education.
GSS will provide an innovative model that will shoe these children using market-based restoration.
What does GreenSoul Shoes need from us?
We are creating an image that will be screenprinted onto the shoebox. The shoebox will be 5 inches x 5 inches x 12 inches.
The box will look like this:
GreenSoul Shoes’ unique selling proposition is its ability to transform human industry through ecologically intelligent and socially conscious designs.
We target urban hipsters and member of the "green movement" with our holistic business model that is meticulously designed to use healthy and environmentally safe materials, institutes sustainable corporate practices, and promotes social responsibility for a triple bottom line: people, planet, and profits.
In looking at shoebox designs, we wanted an efficient means of packaging shoes while eliminating both the use of shipping paper and a shipping box. (shoes inside a shoebox, inside a shipping box). Instead, we have one packaging that will serve as both the shoebox, as well as the shipping box.
The requirements are to:
1) Matches the look/feel of this website:
2) To use no more than three colors (including gradients which count as a single color) Additionally, we are expecting a theme with green/orange or green/grey. Check out: http://www.greensoulshoes.org
4) We want to a have a space for the packaging and company's informational label:
5) Dimensions are 5 inches by 5 inches by 13 inches
6) Note, we are likely going to just put our logo on the endcaps.
