We need a cover design for a web technical ebook to be titled "Recipes with Backbone (http://recipeswithbackbone.com/).
The name "Backbone" is meant to evoke the idea that Backbone.js serves as the supporting structure for web applications. Backbone.js does very little on its own. By using Backbone.js and following its conventions, web application developers can acheive very robust, highly interactive web applications.
A real backbone is an obvious visual element that might convey what we are looking for.
NOTE: do NOT use the official backbone from the backbone site. If a backbone is incorporated in the design, we would prefer something a little more on the minimalistic side.
There are two authors for this book: Nick Gauthier and Chris Strom (*please* get the spelling right). Alphabetic by _last_ name is preferred (Gauthier // Strom).
This will never be printed, but should aim to fit around 8.5x11 inches. The title, author names and any significant design elements should look good in thumbnail format (~150px wide -- possibly even as small as 70px wide).
UPDATED: We have settled on a subtitle: "A collection of strategies to accelerate development with Backbone.js". Including the subtitle in the design is optional.
Also optional is including the suffix ".js" on the "Backbone" in the title (e.g. "Recipes with Backbone.js") The real title of the book does not include ".js", so feel free to make that less prominent than the rest of the title. Sketches attached (pay no attention to colors, just trying to give folks an idea)
