Georgie Beauty is an eco-luxe cosmetics company that is preparing to launch its inaugural product, Winks by Georgie, a line of classic faux lashes and the first botanically-infused lash adhesive. Abbey and Megan, Georgie cofounders (and sisters!), are inspired by the classic beauty trends of golden Hollywood -- from Monroe to Hepburn to Bardot. Beauty that is sexy, sophisticated, and timeless. The company tagline is "Reinventing the Classics" because Georgie focuses on updating classic beauty products for a new generation by offering safe, sustainable ingredients and recycled, refillable packaging.
Women ages 18 - 45. Think women who shop at Sephora, Barneys, Bergdorf, Bloomies, Bendels, and Neiman Marcus. Our target audience is into beauty and fashion. She isn't afraid to try the latest trend in fashion or a bold red lipstick. She reads Vogue, Elle, and Glamour. She goes to cocktail parties, weddings, etc.
Although there is an existing market for false lashes (makeup artists, beauty bloggers, experimental beauty consumers, etc.), Georgie seeks to expand this market by targeting the everyday woman. With this beautiful piece, we seek to entice the everyday woman, draw her in, inspire her, and (most importantly) make her realize that false lashes are absolutely necessary to re-create the sexy, classic looks in the photos.
Georgie would like a one-page layout of photos, logo, and limited text (all provided) that will serve as an "inspiration page" in the company's sales kit.
As an example, please refer to Milly’s online inspiration page: http://www.millyny.com/Michelles-St…spiration/
However, please note that Milly's online inspiration page is provided only to give designers an idea of the subject matter. We expect our design and layout to be much different than this example (i.e., more creative and artistic!)
Note on attached files: The fan attached is used throughout our packaging and is currently being integrated into our web site design (http://www.georgiebeauty.com). The Which magazine image has been a favorite inspiration for several years because of the uniqueness, sophistication, timeless nature, luminous, eye-catching color, etc. The only color we utilize a lot is a taupe color as seen on our web site, but we have integrated "pops" of color including the green in Which magazine and a fuchsia.
We realize the images are low dpi and not ideal for print, but I think they'll work if the photos are kept small. We're really just looking for an 11 x 8.5 design.
Lastly, we're open to creativity - feel free to add your own sketches, photos that have the same look as the ones we've uploaded, etc.
