I will need a cover version for the ebook and the print edition of a personal finance book.
"Stuff About Money: No Bull$hit Financial Advice for Regular People" is a book of straight-to-the-point personal finance tips for regular people to improve their financial security and stability. The book is geared towards a Gen X and Gen Y average Joe and Jane audience. They make $35,000-$50,000 per year, live in a $175,000 house, drive a 5 year old car and while they may not quite be living paycheck to paycheck, they're wondering just what they can do to slowly improve their financial lives. Like many Americans they're looking for ways to do more with less and secure their financial future.
The book covers things like why you should not overspend on a vehicle, why you should take advantage of your employer's 401(k) match, avoid credit card debt, have an emergency fund and have some sort of health insurance in place. There are sections on cash, debt, retirement, real estate, vehicles, conspicuous consumption and more.
A constant theme throughout the book is living within your means is one of the only solid and reliable ways to build more financial security. This is also not a how to get retire rich, start a multi-million dollar business type of book. We don't bullshit--we let the reader know the chance is slim that they'll ever be rich. This is not really about building wealth it's about building security. Financial security and financial strength are the key points. Being able to sleep well at night and not worry to much about money.
Stuff About Money features insight from 30 expert sources, ranging from CPAs and CFAs to personal finance authors and editors. They're serious people with serious messages but I present them in practical on-the-ground terms and use clear life examples of why this seemingly boring stuff is so important. So, instead of saying you "need insurance to protect your assets in the event of an accident or claim" I might say "you need insurance to protect your ass because shit can happen."
I am looking for an ebook cover and a print edition cover. The print edition will likely be 5.25 x 8.25, 60,000 words, 180-200 pages (I'm not sure how big that makes the spine). For the back copy on the print edition I would like sample text placed that I can altar later and I would like the files delivered in AI or PSD so they can be adjusted later.
