I'm a small wine producer and retailer, selling a range of my own brand wines in my little retail shop and also to select restaurants and other retailers.
The wines I sell are all typical of the region in which they were grown. All offer excellent value in fresh, modern, dry styles.
Ducks Lane Wines are fine cool climate wines. The wines are delicate, elegant and refined – a bit like fine French Burgundy. The label needs to reflect this.
The target audience is male and female aged 22 - 60 at a retail price of $25 - $30. The aim is for these wines to be sold mainly through restaurants and cafes as well as select retail.
There will be 2 wines initially, a white and a red. I'd like to have the option of slightly different labels for each.
The label needs to be a single label (probably wraparound style but) with all necessary information on it as per below. (Note: not a front and back label)
The brand name of the wine is Ducks Lane.
The region and wine name. eg: Yarra Valley Chardonnay 2008.
In small font (about 5) there needs to be legal text eg: "12% alc, 7.1 std drinks, pres 220 added. Wine of Australia 750ml"
Bottled for Sparrow and Vine Pty Ltd
72 Hordern Street, Newtown NSW 2042
Also need additional text of approximately 80 words for a wine description/ story.
SIZE AND SHAPE?
Must be a single label that would have main name and brand on one half with the other half containing additional text. (eg: 80/90mm high, 150mm wide).
What we don't want:
No gold, no silver. Needs to be CMYK colours. No images of grapes, bottles, vine leaves or other cliched wine images. The files need to be editable.
Feel free to experiment with fonts, while I’m looking for something elegant it doesn’t need to be old fashioned! Feel free to use images, illustrations, strong colours and to be creative!
Final artwork as EPS files or .ai saved as illustrator 3 or earlier.
Please don't hesitate to contact me directly if you have further questions.
