We are looking to have a web site design prepared for an elder law firm in Wilmington, North Carolina (USA). Our business is primarily focused on estate planning and helping senior citizens to understand the laws and benefits available to them so that they can pay for long-term care. We would like our site to reflect our mission on helping seniors, and it should have a warm, caring, and comforting feel to it.
Our logo is attached to this project brief -- Feel free to use it in your design if you'd like, although it does not necessarily need to be included. We are open to anything that fulfills the other requirements and goals that we've laid out here.
We'd like to ensure that the site has a clean, easy-to-navigate design, using fonts that are easily read (some of our audience may be older and less computer savvy -- so ease of use is important). Our primary target audience is typically the spouse or adult child of an individual who is about to enter a nursing home or assisted living facility. These persons are typically feeling quite a bit of stress, and we're hoping that the free information and reports we offer at our site will provide them a feeling of comfort and help them to regain peace of mind.
We'd also like to ensure that there is space available in the banner for our phone number and text such as "Call Today for a FREE Consultation." On the site's home page, we'd also like to have space for a video that we'll be using (Approx. 400x300 pixels), as well as space for banner images (either horizontal, vertical, or both) that we can use to promote some of our free guides and other services that we offer. Finally, we'd like to have a space appear somewhere prominent on every page where we can include a sign-up form for our newsletter, complete contact information for our firm, and space to include images detailing the professional organizations to which we belong.
We'd also like to have a site that features a large banner across the top, images of seniors and their families (we'll pay for any iStockPhotos you need to use in the design), and space for a horizontal menu below the banner with a place for drop down menus that feature the various services that we offer.
We are open to any kind of color scheme or design elements, so please feel free to be creative as far as layout, color scheme, etc. Our current web site can be found at http://www.legacylawyersnc.com -- We won't be keeping much from that site, but it may be helpful to you. Other sites from our colleagues that may be helpful to you as far as content or design would be http://www.lawelderlaw.com or http://www.elderlawfirm.com.
