We are two friends who share the same passion for fashion. We love all things pretty and lace! We were inspired by our love of Alice in Wonderland story books and movies and decided to start up an amazing fashion boutique online that will reflect our quirky personalities and all of the quirky things we love. Although we are kinda strange we love sophistication and plush deluxe designs also, that’s what makes us so interesting! Think in vogue designs with a little extra sugar!
Our target audience is really for gals like us the 20 something’s, scared of thirties, and the yummy mummies! All those fashionistas that don’t mind parting with a buck to look too hot for their own good! Also the seasonal buyer who has to have that in-now-out-tomorrow outfit.
We're selling all types of clothing, dresses, tops, jackets, skirts, shorts, pants, jeans. We'll be stocking shoes and accessories as well but no lingerie. The Jewelry will be quirky one off pieces.
This is the face of our business, the only face. We are only online so we need to stand out from the rest….there is a lot.
The website needs to feel homely and at the same time sophisticated. Our product price points vary between the $150 - $800 mark, so the girls that are going to be shopping are parting with a fair amount of dosh and they need to feel like this is a real business not a kindergarten.
Very importantly, we really don’t like square boxes and rigid margins.
Basically an easy to navigate website with a lot of visual appeal is what we are after.
We love the Alice in Wonderland theme. We kinda cracked it with Alice though ‘cos we had a rocky start trying to incorporate her into our plans to begin with. So maybe incorporate her into the design but make it hard for her to get in to play or that she might be poking around trying to have a look in.
We really love teacups and saucers with pretty flowers and vases with flowers. Picture frames with old pictures and quirky things in them, mirrors and candle arbores’. Toad stools and butterflies, birds and bird cages, dolls and lollypops, and lots of ice-cream and strawberries, animals and ribbons and bows; sounds like chaos!
We need all the usual menu items; check out http://www.superette.co.nz/ these guys have a pretty good setup. They all run on a similar format which we’ll basically need to follow just so it’s easy to navigate for the not so computer savvy.
We love the way http://www.net-a-porter.com/ website has its products set out (eg http://www.net-a-porter.com/product/94055). When you click on an item you can see how to style it. We have developed a styling aspect that is going to be the central focus of our website so this is really important to get this right.
In the attached zip is the No Alice logo. Also included is a landing page concept that we like but we are always open to new ideas. This would be where the user initially comes to before going to the main page that this contest is for.
So, summed up we need a catalog listing of designers products presented with lots of visual appeal! For an idea of what we mean by a 'catalog listing', refer to
