DUTCH COFFEESHOP WEBSITE DESIGN ONLY CONTEST

My name is Jack and I am partner in a small coffeeshop in Amsterdam the Netherlands. As most of you know smoking the Dutch Buddha, Mary Jane, Ganja, Chronic, Reefer, Cheeba or as we just call it here: Weed and Hasj is perfectly legal in Holland. Together they are called Cannabis.

As we run a business we are always thinking of ways to attract more customers. That is why we are now in the process of setting up a great website to attract more customers and have our coffeeshop "El Guapo" become more known locally as well as amongst tourists.

To set this up we have hired a coder and an online marketing specialist who will help us out with the technical details of the site and its marketing. Not a lot of Dutch coffeeshops have a website so we think we'll have a real advantage here.

You guessed it we are looking for your help in the design department. This design contest is for the homepage AND a sub page with the Cannabis menu.

El Guapo

- This contest is to design both the homepage as well as a sub-page thatholds the cannabis menu. This means you will need to design both a homepage and a sub page with the weed/hasj menu (which are generally piecesof art).
- We are looking for an origional design that reflects our shopsathmosphere (see pictures) and will attract a customer to come andvisit. The site can have an international appeal and its location canbe reflected in the design as well.

- In this zip file you will find:- our company logo (sorry no vector or higher quality available) - - pictures of our shop (during the day)
- - a word document with the website's menu structure

Here are a few guidelines:
- Name of coffeeshop: "El Guapo"
- Width: Minimum 975 px, Max 1000 px.
- Height: Not to much scrolling can go on, but some scrolling is not an issue.
- Format: Photoshop or Illustrator, RGB Color
- Website Menu Contents: see word document
- Weed/Hasj Menu Contents: see other word document

- You should be able to find enough inspiration online but preferably don't use copyrighted images of course.
- Make sure that the design holds up to standards of usability.
* No black background
* Not too dark of an appereance
* Colors must make it 1 whole
* Text has to be readable
* Menu has to be on top or left
