Help Promote an Entire Tropical Island

We are looking for design enhancements for the official website for the Turks & Caicos, – in two parts

Part 1 (Design updates to modernize and facelift the overall site look & feel):

o Update the image background for entire site (from navy to something with an effect like http://www.nassauparadiseisland.com…avel-blog/ or http://www.novascotia.com)
o Modernize the menu dropdown items
o On white horizontal bar on footer of each page, change from being a static image to a scrolling box of features that are clickable and continuously scroll horizontally. Features would include things like
 Link/logo to http://www.onecaribbean.org
 Link/logo to http://turksandcaicoshta.com
 Island Insights Blog http://www.turksandcaicostourism.com/blog/
 Special Deals & Promotions (page not created yet, but will be a page featuring many different hotel/resort promotions)

Face lift for Home Page

Increase the size of the facebook & twitter icons
Image of featured video using vimeo shell (video still in production) to launch a new video page that will be created on the site: see how clip is embedded in the header http://www.hellobc.com/
o Update the main flash image to have short sentences featuring different highlights of TCI (clickable) – see http://www.novascotia.com as design example
o Increased space for Announcements to show 5 entries
o Include small expedia logo on bottom of booking engine and add a list of 5 Special Deals & Promotions and a link to view more (specials will have a clickable title, hotel name, and 75 char description).
o Include an interactive map type component where user can click different islands to go to that specific page (kind of like http://www.turksandcaicostourism.co…pping.html but would like something more like: http://www.bahamas.com)
o Make Tripadvisor icon smaller
