http://37signals.com/ - This website uses a centered layout and has tons of beautiful white space. It feels clean and simple and allows users to focus on what they need to do. It also uses large text when needed and smaller text to provide detail.
http://www.wishlistr.com/ - it is just a simple design and doesn't force too much information into a small area. The page is scrollable but manageable.
http://www.flickr.com/ - It has some complex functionality that is still beautiful and simple to use. When you are searching for images it refreshes just the images not the whole page.
